CUCC Comic Number 5

Well, we have almost made it to the end of term, and although it is only March, the racing has already taken off. There was a very good turn out for Cuppers, with Ken embarrising us all yet again, but some good times considering the wind. Two cucc riders in the top twenty at the North Road Hardriders, one of the biggest races in the country at this time of year was a good acheivment.... if only Mike had driven round the course first....

And of course, next weekend sees the first BUSA time trial championship of the year - the 4-up. With five teams going, it should be a good day out, and hopefully with some good results. Can the first team move up that one place from last year to take gold? Will anyone else but Mike ride on the front? Will we get over the shock of having a women's team? We'll find out on Sunday!

Leading into the vacation, I'm sure I don't have to remind you all to train lots, because as soon as we get back, there is the BUSA 10 and 25 mile time trials (the 25 including the Varsity Match). Here are the details - get your entries in soon, forms can be had from Tony Hornbuckle, or myself (although I am only here till Sunday):

BUSA 25 TT Date - Sat 3 May

                Closing Date - 22 April
It would also be useful if you could let Tony know if you are entering the 10 so we can get an idea of numbers to be transported. Also, Tony needs marshalls for the 25, so if you are not riding, but wish to spectate at (hopefully) another crushing win over Oxford, can you let him know asap.

I also hope to have the club dinner on the day of the Varsity match. Details to follow as soon as it is sorted.....

So happy Easter, and see ya'll next term.

Rob.
