Welcome to the website of the Cambridge University Cycling Club (CUCC). We are one of the oldest clubs in the country, having been founded in 1874. As one of Cambridge University's sports clubs, we cater for all Univeristy members, regardless of their ability. The club aims to provide to its members access to all cycling disciplines for beginners through to elite athletes. All are welcome to join.

Cambridge University Cycling Club is currently the strongest university cycling club in the country. For two years running we have topped the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) cycling points table, and earned more BUCS points than any other Cambridge University sports club. We have also won both annual cycling Varsity Matches for the last two years.

The club's competition priorities are the two annual Varsity Matches against Oxford - a 25 mile individual time trial and a cross country mountain bike race -and the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) championship races . Teams compete in all BUCS events, across the following disciplines: Hill Climb, Road Race, 10 Mile Time Trial, 25 Mile Time Trial, 3-up Team Time Trial, Cross Country and Downhill Mountain Biking and Cyclo Cross. For details of past races, see our results page. For upcoming competitions, see our events page. Full and Half Blues for outstanding performances can be awarded to men and women. See the Blues and Records pages for more details.

Besides racing, the CUCC is also the umbrella organisation for recreational cycling. We regularly organise social and touring rides, which allow beginners to improve their fitness and to discover the countryside around Cambridge and beyond. Indeed, many of our most successful riders started as beginners whilst studying at the University, some of whom have even gone on to become national and champions and olympic medallists. For more details, see our riding section.

So, please have a look around our website. If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to contact a member of CUCC's committee.
