CUCC has a strong tradition of time trialling and it is on time trialling that the Full Blue criteria are based. The club records are a testimony to that tradition. Former members like Michael Hutchinson and Emma Pooley have gone on to set national records, compete internationally and win olympic medals.

There is a Varsity Match in timetrialling against Oxford every year, incorporated within the BUCS (British Universities and College Sport) 25 Mile Time Trial Championships in early May. Following a hiatus of several years, Cambridge have recently turned the tables, winning the Varsity Match and dominating Oxford in 2008 and 2009.

The other main time trials for the club include the BUCS 10 Mile Time Trial Championships, the BUCS 3-up Team Time Trial Championships and the BUCS Hill Climb Championships. Members also compete in the RTTC National Championships at multiple distances, and the British Cycling Time Trial Championships.

There is a wealth of experience and knowledge available should you wish to get into timetrialling. The two other clubs in Cambridge (Cambridge CC and Team Cambridge), both run local TTs on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from the spring onwards, and many CUCC riders attend these in preparation for the Varsity Match in May.
