Excellent turnout today, thanks for coming along everybody and making it
a fun competition! A pleasant afternoon, turning a little chilly later
on...
Thanks especially to Sarah Todd and Clare ? who came along and helped
out despite both having the flu, and Dean Barker who managed to take
loads of photos, as well as taking part with a lead acid battery in his
rucksack. He's obviously been out riding with Bart...
Decided against a points system in the end, thought adding the times up
gave a fairer indication of the margins :-)
So the top of the table looks rather similar to last week!
Congratulations to John for winning again, and to Natasha for being
fastest lady (although not from Cambridge - so really it's Christina -
well done!).
Excellent performances all round, well done all, especially the new
people.
Dean's battery pack came in handy later on when after a close fought and
tactical descent, he took us all by surprise and managed to clinch a few
extra yards in the freewheeling competition. My rucksack obviously
wasn't heavy enough...
Thanks again all for coming along, hope to see lots of you out riding
over the term (once the dreaded flu has gone :-( ).
