Seymour II

The open source extensional rheometer

Build your very own Seymour!

Firstly, I'm afraid we have to state the obvious here. Seymour is a DIY project for experimental research. It is not an off-the-shelf product that you can buy. Successful construction of your own version of Seymour will require some engineering and IT knowledge. As such, no liability or responsibility is taken for any information provided here - development and use of Seymour, or any component of it, is entirely the responsibility of, and at the risk of, the end user. So don't sue us if anything goes wrong!

Also, UK Universities are duty bound to demonstrate 'research impact' every four years. As such, we're keeping a log of who's downloaded the information here such that we can demonstrate (hopefully!) that the Seymour project has contributed something positive to the engineering and rheology community. Consequently, we're like you to register on this website before you can access the download area. We're not going to the details you provide us for anything other than statistical analysis of project impact. We're not going to spam you with email. And we're certainly not going to sell your contact details to any third party!
